HPHSAA introduced this program in 2000. More than $30,000 has been donated by alumni and friends to assist qualified students with post high school education. Colleges where students have used their awards include UCLA, USC, Berkeley, Purdue, numerous California universities and state colleges and many community colleges.

ALL funds collected prior to June are awarded to graduating students in June. We have ZERO administrative costs. After June, this program will re-start with a zero balance f or the next following class year.

A donation in any amount is welcome although we suggest a minimum of $25. Larger donations are most welcome and “matching donations” by employers are an option in some cases.

Huntington Park High School is a unit of the Los Angeles Unified School District . LAUSD, as a political sub-division of the State of California and is a tax-exempt organization under the U.S. Government Code. Donations to such an
organization are NOT taxable.  Donors' cancelled checks ARE Their RECEIPT FOR tax returns.
